Network/IT Department

Assistant Network Technician - FT
                        
Summary: Provide technical support and system administration as part of a proactive team in a community based healthcare system in accordance with the organization’s strategic plan. Other duties include providing training and customer support to all departments throughout the system. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
All activities are assigned and directed by the Information Technology Director.

Qualifications:

College coursework in computer science and information systems and one year of increasingly responsible experience in working with and maintaining information systems, or any combination of training and experience that would provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities

Responsibilities:
1. Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software, peripherals and infrastructure
2. Perform concise inventory on hardware and software
3. LAN/WAN/Wireless design, configuration, installation and troubleshooting
4. Provide first level assistance with Microsoft Office applications
5. Setup user accounts and maintain proper security
6. Monitor backup processes
7. Conduct end-user training on current and new technologies 

Coryell Medical Clinic

Operator/Appointment Clerk - FT                           

Summary: Provide professional first point of contact to all incoming calls in the most efficient manner.

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Typing and office equipment experience to include computer operations.
3. Previous experience with medical office procedures preferred.
4. Neat, organized, able to work independently and interdependently, welcoming to the public.

Responsibilities:
1. Promptly answer and direct all incoming telephone calls.
2. Determine type of appointment needed, determine appointment availability and schedule appointments.
3. Schedule, reschedule and/or verify appointments.
4. Function as a liaison between the nurses and patients to schedule appointments and process electronic communication.
5. Transfer calls to appropriate people.
6. Must be fast, accurate, and able to handle a busy practice.
7. Take and send messages to appropriate provider.
8. Maintain confidential patient information.
9. Other duties as assigned.

RN - FT              

Summary: Performs assigned nursing duties, including phone triage, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care.   Also performs a wide variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, maintenance of clinical record/documentation, administering medications, giving injections, and taking vital signs.  This position is also responsible for providing nurse manager support, physician support and assisting nursing staff as needed. Supervised by the clinic nurse manager.

Qualifications: 

1. Ability to facilitate communication and problem solving with patients, families, staff physicians, and administration.
2. Basic Cardiac Life Support required, ACLS preferred
3. Associate Degree of nursing, Licensed in the state of Texas
4. Prefer One year or more of nursing clinical experience.
5. Prefer the following skills:  the ability to multi-task, problem solving, organizational skills, knowledge of physician office triage, and experience of using an Electronic Medical Record.

Certified Nurse Assistant; CNA - FT

Clinic Podiatry

Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA) - FT

Summary: Under the direction of a physician, assist in the delivery of health care for patients.  Performs a wide variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, maintenance of clinical record/documentation, administering medications, giving injections, and taking vital signs, processing refill request, assisting with office procedures, scheduling appointments and EKG’s.  Able to work in a team environment.  Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanour at all times. 

Qualifications:

3. Certified in the State of Texas as a Certified Medical Assistant

Nursing - (Med/Surg, Welcome, ED/ICU and Surgery)

Med Surg - LVN or GVN PRN Days and Evenings 

Summary:  Responsible and accountable for providing patient care needs and services for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process under the direct supervision of the registered nurse

Qualifications:

1. Licensed and currently registered as a Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas or possesses a temporary permit to practice vocational nursing in Texas
2. Meets qualification criteria during hospital and nursing unit orientation periods
3. CPR certified

Summary: The CMA is to assist in the administering of medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the attending physician, nurse supervisor, or the Director of Nursing Services. The administration of medications shall be in accordance with established nursing standards, policy and procedure of this facility, and the requirements of the state.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a Certified Nurse Aide & maintain without lapse.
2. Must be certified by the state of Texas as a Certified Medication Aide and maintain without lapse.
3. Prior clinical experience preferred.
4. Requires current CPR and must maintain without lapse.
5. Must be able to write legibly.
6. Must be of good physical and mental health.
7. Good assessment and observation skills.
8. Possess adequate speech and hearing to communicate well.

Welcome - CNA - PRN days and evenings

Summary: The CNA/NA will care and treat patients/residents in a manner conductive to their safety and comfort. Perform duties in accordance with established methods and techniques in conformance to recognized standards. Provide patient/resident care within limits defined by delegated tasks. Tasks performed under direct supervision of a Charge Nurse/Nurse or Physician. Only Certified Nurse’s Aides may work in the hospital environment.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a Certified Nurse Aide or entered into Certified Nurse Aide program and completed the first 16 hours of course work (proof must be provided)
2. Must complete Certified Nurse Aide program within 6 months of hire.
3. Maintain certification without lapse.
4. Prior clinical experience preferred.
5. Current CPR or have certification within 3 months of hire.
6. Ability to care for and about others.
7. Must be of good physical and mental health.
8. Good assessment and observation skills.
9. Possess adequate speech and hearing to communicate well.

ED Tech (ERT) FT/PRN 11:00 am to 11:00 pm   

Summary: The ED Tech is primary responsible for caring and treating patients in a manner conductive to their safety and comfort; performing duties in accordance with established methods, techniques, and in accordance with recognized standards; providing patient care within limits defined by delegated tasks. Tasks performed under direct supervision of Registered Nurse or Physician.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a CNA, EMT, or NT
2. Require current CPR and must maintain without lapse.
3. Must have basic EKG and/or arrhythmia course within six months of employment.
4. Prior clinical experience preferred.
5. Must be able to write legibly, possess adequate speech and hearing to communicate well, and good physical and mental health.
6. Possess the ability to work under close supervision and follow verbal and written instructions.

Social Services

Concierge - FT

Description: The concierge will serve primarily in the surgery department with some duties in the medical/surgical unit. The position is Monday-Friday. The person chosen for the position must have great interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to problem solve and multi-task.  At least two years of experience with the general public is preferred. Must have a high school diploma, but some college is preferable, as is bi-lingual. A positive attitude is required.

Diagnostic Imaging

PRN Radiological Technologist needed.  CT experience helpful, but not mandatory.

Summary:  Performs in accordance with physician prescription those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying radiation and other forms of energy used in diagnostic imaging.  Assists in collecting and reporting data to insure performance improvement.  Utilizes proper Radiation and MRI Safety procedures.  Understands and efficiently uses all computerized programs in the department to include electronic EMR, PACS and equipment.  Transports patients and completes clerical assignments. 

Qualifications:

1.  Graduate of approved and accredited school of radiological technology
2.  Certified with the State of Texas as MRT
3.  Registered or Registry eligible with the ARRT
4.  Must have basic computer skills
5.  Must provide quality customer service to both internal and external customers

Speech Language Pathologist-Audiologist 

PT/PRN Position Available

Summary:  Conducts evaluation, rehabilitation, and training in the areas of speech and language disorders. Works under the general direction of the policies and procedures of the hospital, and, as appropriate, under the policies of contract facilities and the referring physician.  Under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapy Director.

Qualifications: 

1.  Must possess a current State Board of Examiners Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology license
2.  1 - 2 years of experience preferred
3.  Must be experienced in performing MBS and providing treatment for dysphagia (Vital Stim certified preferred)

Nutritional Services

Cook - FT

Summary: Two years' experience preferred. Under the direction of the Food Service Supervisor, prepares food as planned on cycle menu, using standardized recipes. Correctly portions and serves food. Uses accepted storage techniques. Maintains a sanitation standard, follows safety regulations, keeps record as required. Supervises and trains Food Service staff members, upholds policies of Coryell Memorial Hospital and its long term care facilities.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Must be Food Protection Management Certified.
3. Must have institutional food service experience, including knowledge of food production, therapeutic diets, and sanitation.
4. Must be able to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, depending upon the needs of CMH and its long-term facility as directed.
5. Must be able to read, write, and communicate orally in English.

Home Health

CNA - PRN

Summary:  Cares for and treat patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort of their own homes.  Performs duties in accordance with established methods and techniques, and in conformance with recognized standards.  Provides patient care within limits defined by delegated tasks.  Tasks are performed under direct supervision of a Nurse/Charge Nurse or Physician.

2.  Prior clinical experience preferred

4.  Must be of good physical and mental health and possess adequate speech and hearing to communicate well
5.  Should possess the ability to work under close supervision and follow verbal and written instructions.

Home Care Attendants - PRN

Summary:  Furnishes personal care to patients in their home within the scope of their abilities and in accordance with the policies set forth by the agency under the supervision of a registered nurse.  Attendants are needed to cover the Gatesville, Moody, Oglesby, Hico, Copperas Cove, Evant and Goldthwaite areas.

Emergency Medical Services

ED Scribe - FT and PRN

Summary:  Works under the direct supervision of the on duty ER Physician or other Physicians as assigned.  Provides direct assistance to the physician in non-direct care areas such as documentation, coordination, and time management.

Qualifications:

1.  High School Diploma or equivalent
2.  Able to type effectively with minimal errors
3.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office and patient care documentation programs
4.  Excellent Communications Skills
5.  Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy and physiology (formal courses preferred)

Duties:

1.  Accompany the physician during patient interactions
2.  Document patient (surgical, family, social, medical) history, history of present illness, review of systems, medications, and allergies
3.  Document physical exam findings
4.  Document lab and radiology results
5.  Keep track of chronology of patient care activities (consults, procedures, re-examination, etc.)
6.  Facilitate physician/patient interaction by reducing external distractions
7.  Assist the physician as assigned

The Meadows Rehabilitation and Long Term Care

Quality Assurance Nurse: RN or LVN - Full Time

Summary: As a member of the administrative nursing team, the QA Nurse helps direct the nursing staff with a particular focus on quality care and resident outcomes. Primary duties include data tracking, reporting, process improvement, staff supervision, resident admissions, and resident care. Ensure that the facility is in compliance with current CDC, OSHA, and local regulations concerning infection control or standard/universal precautions.

Qualifications:

1. Must be Licensed in the State of Texas or possess a Compact Licensure for RN/LVN
2. Quality assurance experience preferred.
3. Experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred
4. Good computer skills
5. Excellent communications skills

Night Charge Nurse:  LVN - Full Time (3-Day weekend off every other week)

Summary: Provide direct nursing care for rehab patients and long-term residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants and ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
 
Qualifications:

1. State Licensure Required or Compact Licenses
2. Ability to supervise staff and work as part of a team
3. Long-term care experience preferred
4. Good communication skills for use with co-workers, residents and families
5. Ability to use a computer and learn an electronic medical record system

CMA - Certified Medication Aide Full Time - 6a to 6p (3-Day weekend off every other week)
